NEWCOMER ANGIE PEREDA TOPS DEFENDGAME WITH MOST DEFENSES

For those of us not watching Avengers: Endgame, it was just another night of practice, focusing on defense, and capping the evening with a few rounds of league play. The crew was split into two divisions, with David Walker, Tawg, and Daniel Delgado in one camp and Jedi Jacob and newcomers Sang Park and Angie Pereda occupying the other. It was Sang’s second night and Angie’s first night.

League play did have a catch: all defensive bonuses received one extra point— meaning a clean defense was worth 4 points instead of 3!

Daniel was facing two much taller opponents but held his own well. Tawg and David had a very close match but Tawg was able to emerge on top, even against David. Clearly he has learned much from the Walker.

Meanwhile, Jacob dominated in the second division, but Sang fought admirably and Angie won one match of two AND topped the entire evening for most defenses, at a count of 4! Excellent work for a first night. Those four 4-pointers certainly went a long way toward her victory.

RESULTS

DIVISION 1
Tawg 2-0
Walker 1-1
Delgado 0-2

DIVISION 2
Areias 2-0
Pereda 1-1
Park 0-2

After the matches we went to Denny’s for some pancakes and trash talk. Great night!
